DESCRIPTION:On 8/23/2025\, the Barnard Seyfert Astronomical Society (BSAS) will have a free public solar viewing and star party. We will be at the Montgomery Bell State Park ball field.\n\n\n\n Star Parties are fun events where we get to share our passion for the night sky with the community. \n\n \n\n  6:30pm - 8:30pm: We will be viewing the Sun through safe filters to see magnetic sunspots. Also\, see exhibits of space science and astronomy items in the pavilion.\n\n \n\n 8:30pm - 10:30pm: Look through various telescopes to see objects in the night sky. BSAS members might be viewing planets\, star clusters or other objects.\n\nIMPORTANT: Event is canceled if the weather is cloudy/rainy.

LOCATION:Montgomery Bell State Park - Ball Field 147 Four Mile Camp Rd.\, Burns\, TN 37029 To find the party\, turn into the park from HWY 70\; follow the road as it curves around the ball field\, and you'll see the party in the middle of the field.
